At Custom Covers 1984 Ltd, we like to celebrate significant milestones of employees, and today, we pay tribute to a true legend of our team: Kenny Grice. After dedicating 40 years to the company, Kenny holds the honour of being the longest-standing member of the Custom Covers family: so long that he was here on day one of the Company’s existence 40 years ago.

From Biker to Cyclist!

Outside of work, Kenny’s love for adventure has always shone through. In his younger days, he was an avid biker, his passion for motorbikes defined his “hay day” until a significant accident brought an end to that chapter. But true to Kenny’s resilient nature, he wasn’t ready to give up on life on two wheels and took to pedal bikes to get too and from work, and around town in his own time! As a retirement gift, the whole team at Custom Covers came together to contribute towards an electric bike, a well-deserved reward for his years of dedication and love for cycling.

A Passion for Travel

Kenny’s love for adventure extended far beyond the UK. Whether by coach or plane, Kenny loved exploring different countries and cultures. His curiosity to see the world took him on unforgettable journeys to places far and wide, including China—a destination he fondly reminisces about. Kenny’s travels reflect his enthusiasm for life and his love for experiencing the unknown.

Kenny’s personality wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his love for heavy metal music. A self-proclaimed “headbanger,” Kenny proudly embraced the genre’s energy and attitude. His passion for the music remained as strong as ever, showing yet another part of his vibrant character.
