On the morning of the 14th July Custom Covers (1984) Ltd  of Quayside Rd Southampton had a major fire which destroyed  its raw material stores and linings hire departments.
The fire was reported by an employee of the Ravenscroft Motor Co Ltd on Bitterne Rd West in Southampton, who saw one of the cars in its yard going up in flames. The fire spread to our factory.
What does this mean for you our customers?
Outstanding frame orders are largely unaffected.
For PVC and decorative lining orders, 60% of production capacity is unaffected subject to being able to replace our raw material stock. We still hold a limited amount of undamaged PVC & Linings standard CC specification stock.For linings hire, 90% of our stock has been destroyed so we are unable to fulfil linings hire orders in the short to medium term.
